About Casey Allen
Casey Allen is a musician and artist from St. Petersburg, Florida. He has played music all over Tampa Bay for the past 9 years. He’s known for his Passionate Vocals, Rhythm Guitar, and Stomping the Kick Drum during his solo shows. Casey is also known for his Songwriting where his original music is a stand out among the 100+ covers he performs.
Back Story
Born and raised in St. Petersburg FL, Casey attended the Art programs at Perkins Elementary, John Hopkins Middle School, and Gibbs High school Pinellas County Center for the Arts (PCCA) where he studied fine art, played baseball, and studied trumpet in the Advanced and Jazz band.
Casey began playing baseball at the age of 5. While showcasing his talent on many teams throughout Florida, he received many accolades and awards along the way. He was the Captain of the Gibbs High School Baseball team in 2004.
In 2004 he received both an Art and Baseball scholarship for Savannah College of Art and Design. In 2008 Casey set the record at SCAD for starting and playing in every baseball game. Playing through injuries and sickness, his team and coaches gave him the nickname (Iron Man). He graduated from SCAD with the Coaches Award and a BFA in Illustration and Graphic Design.
In 2008 Casey played a season of professional baseball for the Rio Grande Valley White Wings in Harlingen TX.
2009 was a new Chapter for Casey. He decided it was time to pursue his creative passions. He moved to Nashville where he learned the music industry and songwriting. Casey played guitar and wrote songs from a young age, but up until this time his #1 dream was playing Major League Baseball. Moving forward, the work ethic he learned from playing baseball and the knowledge he learned from living in Nashville was applied to his freelance Illustration and music career. After taking on multiple design jobs and living in different states, he ended up moving back to his home town of St. Petersburg, FL in 2012. Since then he’s played over 2,000 shows in the Tampa Bay Area.
